Our family met up with my sister's family and spent the past week tent camping and hiking in the Rockies. We logged in a whopping 44 miles in all. Our girls, including our fearless little 5 year old "A," climbed every last step of those 44 miles. We think that translates to about 88! miles for A, considering her shorter legs/shorter stride.
This hike was the last of the four, up to Bluebird Lake, 12.8 miles round trip, gaining about 2500 feet in elevation. Absolutely gorgeous. July 29, 2010.
